Betty born on December 3rd, 1946, in ROME NEW YORK to the late Georgia Mae Tittle & Jasper Singletary
Betty peacefully passed away into the Loving arms of our LORD & SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST on Monday February 5th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Betty was educated in the Albany School System & worked for many years in the medical field & as a Hotel Manager until her retirement.
Betty was a loving wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, & friend.
Betty affectionately known as the “favorite Aunt” in the words of her nieces & nephews, will forever be remembered for her contagious smile, kind spirit, genuine heart, & her outpouring of unselfish love. She was the Epitome of what love, compassion, kindness, & positivity should look like. Her soul was pure.
Betty enjoyed spending time with her loving husband, she enjoyed HUGE family gatherings, cooking, tic toc’s (Mukbang), Facebook, listening to music, spending time with her grand and great grandchildren, she also enjoyed her time working on 2000--5000-piece puzzles and traveling to various Casino’s in and out of state with her husband and family
Betty was predeceased by her daughters Thea Slaughter Rucker & Georgia Mae Singletary, sister Mary D. Johnson, Brothers Edward “Deke” Singletary, Jasper Singletary, Robert Clark, Willie Johnson, John Clark & grandson Shamear Davis, Her best friends for life Bernice Norwood and Sheila Gaddy
Betty is survived by her children Anthony Singletary-McGraw, her daughter Bridget (Juan) Singletary- Turner, her Son In Law Triston Gross & Valerie Tibbs (affectionately known as her daughter-niece from another mother), her brothers Howard (Dorothy) Singletary,William (Dawn) Singletary, her Sisters Joyce Turner-Mckiever, Martha Singletary, Nancy Tittle all of Albany NY. Her Brother in-laws- Emmett Gross of Albany NY, Melvin Gross Jr. of Troy NY, Allen & Gerald Gross of Dallas Tx, her sister in-laws- Clyda Clark of Clifton Park NY & Linda Armstrong of Lindbergh MS. Her grandchildren Lamar VanNess & Tierra (Anthony) koonce- Johnson of Newport News VA, Kahlim (Jessica) Smalls of Albany NY, Bianca (Lanhaire) Johnson of Troy NY, Yaminah “Amadi” Lownes & Ahkim Howard of Albany Ny, Kiori Lownes of Troy NY, Anthony Singletary Jr, Torreke Singletary, Shanae & Shadae Singletary all of Schenectady NY, Chino Rosada Nunez (worldwide) & Yolanda Traynham of Cohoes NY, & a very special kind, loving, & ride or dye for life (niece) Markeida Singletary-Macon of Schenectady NY, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
