Arthur W. Green, Jr.

Arthur W. Green, 69, of Albany, NY passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025. Arthur was

born on October 24, 1956, in Macon, Georgia to Arthur Green Sr. and Jeannie M. Green.

Arthur graduated from Albany High School in 1975. Arthur was a horse race enthusiast and had

a love for music. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his infamous raspy voice, and

his love of sports. Arthur was preceded in death by his Father Arthur Green Sr., Mother Jeannie

Green Alexander, Grandmother Rosa L. Cofer and Grandfather Willie Cofer. Arthur is survived

by his younger brother Sylvester Green (Sylvia), Nephew Lakime Meadows (Joyce), Nephew

Keenon Green, Niece Kishande’e Green, Great Niece Maya Meadows, and Great Nephew

Myles Meadows. Additionally, he is survived by his Great Aunt Sally Wilburn, special Aunt Olivia

Chapple, special Sister Margret Callans and a host of family and friends.

The family will host a memorial service in his honor on Saturday, December 13, 2025 11:00am

at Walls Temple AMEZ Church, 27 Delaware Street, Albany NY 1220
