Anthony Artis was born July 16,1960 in Pickens, South Carolina he departed this life on February 10, 2021. Anthony was preceded in death by his father Richard Keith, sister Cassandra Artis.
Anthony grew up in Albany New York where he spent the majority of his life. He graduated from Mission High school in San Francisco California and lived in the bay area for approximately five years. He served in the US Navy for 2 years and worked for New York Senate five years before an injury occurred.
As a young boy Anthony enjoyed working with his hands and became multi-talented in his adult years with skills that included, carpentry, electrical, as well as all around general maintenance. His hobbies were fishing hunting and D’Jing at family gatherings. Anthony had a big heart and love for people always extended himself to the elderly and had a special unique relationship with his grandmother Betty Logan.
Anthony will forever be remembered in the heart of those that he left behind his Mother, Jennie Artis of the Bronx, New York, Stepfather, Roy Peterson of Cleveland, New York, Grandmother Betty Logan of Albany, New York. His son, Paul (Kiama) Artis of Tivoli, New York. Grandsons, Auzjon Artis, Elijah Artis, Anozzi Malloy of Troy, New York. Sisters, Zandra Artis of Albany, New York Teri Blount, Atlanta, Georgia. Alice Keith of Pickens, South Carolina. Brothers, Richard Jr., Michael and Cory Keith of Pickens, South Carolina. Uncles, Derrick (Sharon) Artis of Stockton, California, Edward (Dorothy) Artis of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Benson Artis of Eden, North Carolina. Aunts Judith Logan Albany N.Y., Emma Jean (Floyd) Moyers of Eden, North Carolina, Jan Hensley of High Point, North Carolina and Dearie Henderson of Greensboro North Carolina, Tess (Robert) Jones.
