Anita Williams passed away on January 7, 2021 after a long battle against cancer. She was born in Albany, NY to the late Eugene Smalls and Eloise Scott on June 25, 1962. Many will remember Anita as an assertive, tender-hearted and vibrant woman of GOD.
Anita attended Albany High school and graduated from Windsor Forrest High School in Savannah, GA. GOD gifted her to love and care for children. She studied Early Childhood at Savannah Vocational Tech College and worked as an Early Childhood educator for over 40 years. Her love for children was rich and deep. Anita leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Pastor Michael Williams of 36 years and her seven children Shanae (Michael) Lawrence, Jermell Williams, Dion Williams, Terel Williams, Naketa Williams, Arkiem Williams and Amani Thompson-Williams; all of Albany, NY. Anita was loved by many and her presence will be greatly missed.
There will be a public viewing held on Thursday January 14, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Elijah Missionary Church, 70 Second Ave Albany, NY 12202. Mask and social distancing is required during the viewing.
A private funeral service will be held for the family.
