Angella Tine Newerls was born on December 21, 2022 to parents Jewell Mason and Jamel Newerls in Albany, New York.
Angella was born with Alagille syndrome with significant impact to her heart. This limited her life expectancy, however, she surpassed all the odds! Angella blessed her family and friends with over 2 and 1/2 years. Angella’s parents are grateful for all the nurses, doctors, and staff who took care of her at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital/Albany Med Health System, and NewYork-Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital in conjunction with Stanford Children’s Health. We would also like to thank the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Albany and Manhattan, and The Brave Will Foundation for their support.
Angella’s mom cared for her tirelessly and loved her unconditionally. Angella was able to live and thrive at home with the support of Albany Med hospice and palliative care teams. Angella crawled, walked, learned, and ate everything with all the love and support she received at the Capital Milestones Child Care.
Angella enjoyed eating muffins, mandarins, broccoli, pizza, and ice cream. She loved to laugh, play with her friends, and watch Ms. Rachel. Angella’s favorite things to sign were “more”, “eat”, and “all done”. She also loved singing “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”, “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes”, and playing “Peek-a-boo”.
Angella brought so much joy to everyone she met. Mom and Dad felt all the love she received. It truly took a village and we thank you all!
Angella will be missed by her Parents Jewell and Jamel, Grandparents Eileen and Clifford, Aunts Jasmine & Tay, Uncles Ramel and Cru, Great Grandfather John, great aunts and uncles, cousins, friends, teachers, providers, and so many others who loved and loved on her.
