Ada Lee Kinsey (Lawson)

Ada L. Kinsey (Lawson) of Mt. Hope Drive in Albany, NY went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday August 8, 2018.  Born on August 11, 1924 in Kinston, NC to the Late Lott & Nettie Lawson.  She worked as a Nurses' Assistant at The Home of the Incurables (Childs Hospital) and retired there after many years of service.  She was the Mother at New Life of Christ Church of Albany, NY,  also a Usher and a member of the Pastors Aid.

Mrs. Kinsey was known throughout the Capital District for caring for others (all younger than her) including Judge Tobin and Wife, Ms. Cippola, Ms. Stella Porter and others.

She was preceded in transition by her son Maddried Lee Kinsey, grandson Ervin Cook, brother Richard Lawson, and sister-in-law Jessie Mae Lawson all of Albany, NY.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter Lottie (Joseph) Cook Burke, grandchildren Andrew Kinsey, Tenisha Burke, Antuan and Carrie Burke, Beverlynn and husband Douglas, Lisa Kinsey, Mannix (Rhonda) Kinsey, Bernadette and Mark Frasier, Chamore Kinsey, and Clayton (Nina) Kinsey.  Great-grandchildren, Ashleigh (Everald) Kinsey, Amber Kinsey, Erin Stanley, LaKeeva,Jasmin, Mercedez, Mannix Jr., Mercy, Stephan, Baren, Blake, Chamber Jr., Dominic, Dylan, Xavier, Markus and Myles.  Great-great grandchildren, Jayda and Symone and many other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 10:00am; Services will start at 11:00am at New Life Church of Christ, 419 Clinton Ave, Albany, NY 12206.  Bishop Willie Lawson officiating.  Interment will be at Graceland Cemetery.  Arrangements by S.
